Project: Rottnest Island Ferry Jetty - Berths 1-3
Client: Rottnest Island Authority
Pelagic Group's 𝙅𝙈𝘾 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥 (𝙅𝙈𝘾) recently conducted major remediation work to berths 1-3 on the Rottnest Island Ferry Jetty. This work included the demolition and replacement of concrete coping beams, the fabrication and installation of 22 fender piles with rubber fender stripping, cylindrical fenders and chain tensioning system, as well as the removal and disposal of the old piles and concrete.
Other areas of the ferry jetty remained open to island visitors while this project was underway, meaning all of the work had to be done from the water. Our large range of marine assets was crucial in ensuring we met deadlines, didn’t disturb the ferry timetable and completed the job safely.
The JMC fleet was used to provide a safe working platform for others installing the Denso shield protective system to the existing sheet pile wall to prolong its life for years to come.
